Eye Disease Screening
Have you or someone in your family been diagnosed with an eye disease? We provide through screening for common eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
If you have been diagnosed with an eye disease it is important to have regular reviews with an eye care practitioner. If you have a family history of eye disease, you may be at risk of developing these conditions. Optometrists at Melbourne Eyecare can screen you for conditions such as glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration, pterygium, and keratoconus.
We are equipped with the latest in diagnostic technology and combined with thorough examination, we can diagnose and manage many ocular diseases early, which optimises the prognosis for these conditions.
Some of the diagnostic imaging services we provide include:
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), including OCT Angiography and anterior OCT
- Ultra-wide field retinal imaging (OPTOS)
- Fluorescein autofluorescence
- Corneal topography
- In vivo corneal confocal microscopy (IVCCM)
- Slit lamp photography
- Automated visual field testing
We are also able to receive referrals from other optometrists for these imaging services.
