Occasionally you may develop acute symptoms, changes to your vision or changes to your eye’s appearance. It is important that these changes are assessed in a timely manner.

Melbourne Eyecare Clinic provides timely services for people experiencing acute symptoms involving eyes and vision. We can assess and manage conditions such as:

• Conjunctivitis
• Foreign body or other eye injury
• Contact lens related red eye
• Painful eyes
• Swollen eyelids
• Sudden changes in vision
• Hay Fever and Itchy/Irritated eyes

If you have urgent concerns, please contact us directly on 03 9035 6666. An experienced team member will triage help triage your symptoms and schedule an appointment based on urgency, often on the same day.

A referral in not required for the appointment, though if you have one, please bring this with you. Our optometrists are therapeutically endorsed and can prescribe eye medication as needed.

Our business hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Outside of these times, you may need to seek care with at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Emergency Department or your local emergency department.
