How do I make an appointment?
General Examinations
Routine eye examinations (18+) with an optometrist are recommended to maintain your eye health and optimise your visual performance. Book a routine eye examination online into our Private or Teaching clinics below.
For more advanced eye care, please see next section for other appointment types.
Student Clinic
Appointments are led by student practitioners. Session duration is typically 90 minutes.
Private Clinic
Appointments are privately billed with a fully qualified optometrist.
Advanced Care & Emergency Appointments
For bookings related to paediatric, emergency appointments, contact lens fittings, dry eye, diabetes eyecare, colour vision, sudden vision loss, please call us on 03 9035 6666 or fill appointment request form below, and we will contact you to book you in with a specialist as soon as possible.

Referrals
The clinic accepts referrals from GPs, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other health care providers. A formal referral is not required for more patients to attend the clinic; however, we welcome referral notes to facilitate feedback and information.Getting Here
Location
We are conveniently located north of the Melbourne CBD, in the Parkville Biomedical Precinct, near the Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC).
Public transport
The closest tram stops to the clinic are Stop 9 – Haymarket/Elizabeth Street and Stop 12 – Flemington Road/Peel Street. Both are less than 300m walk to the Melbourne Eyecare Clinic.
The newly opened Parkville station is a two-minute 260m walk away.
Parking
Car parking is available in the University Square Car Park (Map) located in Berkeley Street from 6am to midnight Monday to Sunday.
Car park is accessed via Berkeley Street and Bouverie Street.
